Just like our old music is so beautiful, it kept marriages together with the same quality of matureness. People actually fell in love with each other before they fell into bed. Love means putting the other person first. It just doesen't happen anymore. It's self or sex first, and last. Just look at what is taken for normal now. K.J.

I mostly agree. But there are exceptions. Otis Reddings version of "White Christmas" is my favorite. (And to be a bit of a geek, he originally did "Respect", and Aretha made that song her own. There are others, but I won't bore. Just had to add my .02.

That's right. I grew up with this music as a result of growing up with my grandparents. The older generation needs to instill better music taste in the young.

Parents and grandparents need only sit a 7-year-old down and allow the child to hear some of these songs, and the kids will have a natural affinity for them. It's only when kids are subject to peer pressure and the media that they become close-minded.
